Well if you’re from any flung areas, you’d probably had heard this one?
Or, how about your lola / lolo boiling some of these leaves?
NO idea?
How about some movies in local Philippine cinema where youngsters had their circumcision…
…. they chew … spit … and run ( the sea / whatever body of water – that is )
Well atleast now you have it in mind..
It has been a tradition in flung areas especially here in the Philippines, that the guava leaves help heal the wound.. which I agreed, but chewed guava leaves and spitting it right from your mouth to your wound is eventually another story.
It is a fact that guava leaves aside from being organic and an alternative medicine, have an antiseptic properties which prevents bacterial formation. However, as I have said, directly putting chewed guava leaves on an open wound is not HYGENIEC because there are microorganisms in the saliva that can cause wound infection. This way, guava leaves will not promote wound healing but instead will infect the wound or will just aggreviate it.
The correct way on the other hand, base on my NCM 102/3 or whatever that is that I have learned on our Community Exposures (duty), is to:
- boil 1 cup of clean (yeap you should wash it first…moron) chopped leaves in 2 cups of clean water (not need to be mineral…lolz) for about 15 minutes
- let it cool (coz it’s freakin hot)
- then strain (all you need is the water content / solution)
- and then ready to be used………..how?
- drink at least 2 cups a day ……. that is if you want to be in constant call with your loo
- of course ….with the solution, wash the would at least 2 times a day.
As simple as that….
Rich enouch?
Buy antibiotics both oral or antibiotic oitment.
But the better and most convenient way to leave your wound uninfected…
…..just wash it with soap (antiseptic saop) frequently.
